Born and raised in Anaconda, MT, Jayme graduated high school with honors in Kileen, TX. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1992, serving as a cannon crewmember in the Field Artillery Corps (FA). Two years later he received his appointment to West Point where he graduated in 1998 in the top 10% of his class with a BS in Operations Research. Commissioned into FA and first stationed in Baumholder, Germany, he served in the 1st Armored Division (“Old Ironsides”) 4th Battalion, 27th Field Artillery, as a Fire Control Officer and later as the Battalion Adjutant. After suffering a seizure, he resigned his commission and became a Department of the Army Civilian in Heidelberg, Germany.

While completing his Master’s Degree from the University of Arkansas in Operations Research and Analysis, he met his wife Feri at the Base Exchange where she worked. James and Feri were married in 2002 and their daughter was born in 2004. In 2007, the Anderson family was transferred from Germany to Texas with the Northrup-Grumman Corporation. They lived in Ennis, TX, where James worked from home as a computer programmer.
