Brendan currently works for Bain & Company, a leading global management consulting firm. Bain works with clients to solve a diverse set of strategic projects. Prior to work, Brendan graduated magna cum laude from the University of Notre Dame with a B.B.A. degree, majoring in Business Analytics and Economics and minoring in Collaborative Innovation.

Although he has not served in the armed forces, Brendan and his family have lived in various military communities following his father’s assignments across the United States.

He currently lives in Boston, MA.

A member of the class of 1998, Michelle LaVicka brings curiosity, connection, and a global perspective to her role with The 98 Fund. She combines her diverse academic background (MEd, MBA, PhD) with real-world experience gained from travel to 142 countries and 49 states. Her adventures, and the lessons they’ve inspired, shape her belief in the power of shared stories and local action. She contributes her communication, fundraising, and partnership skills to every mission she supports. Michelle lives in West Virginia with her son and too many chickens, goats, and cats.

Christopher McQuillan is the Chief Operating Officer and an owner of Illuminations, Inc., the leader in architectural and industrial lighting and controls in the Philadelphia Metro, Northern NJ, and NYC Metro territories.  His company provides service and support to the architectural design community, electrical distributors, and contractors.

Chris was previously a Vice President of Sales and General Manager for Acuity Brands, Inc., ran global operations and sales for Amerlux, and led the North American lighting division for Honeywell.

As an Army officer, he spent most of his time with the 71st Transportation Battalion, based out of Ft. Eustis, VA.

Mr. McQuillan holds a Master of Business Administration (International Finance) from the University of Maryland University College, and a BS from the United States Military Academy.  Chris treasures his time playing football for Army while at West Point, starting plebe year as a kicker.

He lives in the Philadelphia area with his wife Monica, enjoying any time they can get with four children between the ages of seventeen and twenty-four.

Jim Mullin is a Senior Project Manager for ePlus, Inc., supporting the company’s Project Management Office to develop transformative technology solutions for the world's most visionary companies. 

Jim is a retired Lieutenant Colonel who served for 21 years on active duty in the US Army. During that time, he was stationed at multiple locations throughout the continental United States and Europe. He has deployed to Kosovo, twice to Iraq, and Afghanistan. Jim held a variety of command and staff positions throughout his career, and during his final assignment served as the Senior Army Advisor to the New Hampshire National Guard in Concord, NH. 

Jim is a Certified Scrum Master and a Project Management Professional, holding a Master of Professional Studies in Technology Management degree from Georgetown University, a Master of Public Administration degree from the University of Oklahoma, and a Bachelor of Science degree in French from the United States Military Academy at West Point.  

Originally from Rhode Island, Jim currently resides in Richmond, VA.

Julia Parks is a student at Tulane University pursuing her Bachelor's degree in Economics and Homeland Security, with a minor in Entrepreneurship.

She has built a strong foundation in startup development through her work with The Idea Village, a New Orleans based accelerator program. She gained exposure to early-stage venture strategy, business modeling, and innovation ecosystems whilst facilitating New Orleans Entrepreneurship Week (NOEW). Julia has also worked with Refugee Women’s Alliance, a nonprofit that supports programs focused on refugee education and community empowerment. Her experience extends internationally through service in Madagascar, where she built a hut in Mohab for local women to produce and sell feminine hygiene products to increase school attendance for young girls and foster economic opportunity within the community.

Originally from Seattle, Julia now lives in New Orleans while attending Tulane. She comes from a military family with one brother, supportive parents, and her dog, Kenai. Following graduation, Julia plans to pursue a career in the military or federal government in addition to continuing her work with The 98Fund.

Colonel (COL) Stacy M. Tomic is a 1998 graduate of United States Military Academy.  She was commissioned as a Transportation Officer upon graduation and later a Logistics Officer upon graduation from the Logistics Captains Career Course.  

COL Tomic’s previous non-command assignments include service as a Maintenance Platoon Leader and Brigade Movement Officer in the 4th ID; 2d Transportation Company XO at FT Carson, CO; G4 Plans Officer, 8th Army at Yongsan, Korea; Battalion S1 and S3 Operations Officer in the 7th Transportation Group at FT Eustis, VA (including Operation Iraqi Freedom deployment to Camp Arifjan, Kuwait); Army Materiel Command Brigade Logistics Support Team Chief for the 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment (including Operation New Dawn deployment at COS Kalsu, Iraq) and AFSBn XO at FT Hood, TX; Joint Staff J39 and J33 Action Officer at the Pentagon; 1st Cavalry Division Sustainment Brigade Deputy Commanding Officer; the TAAC-S CJ4 at Kandahar, Afghanistan; and the 1st Cavalry Division Deputy Chief of Staff, and later, Chief of Staff.

COL Tomic's command assignments include: 19 months as Commander, 169th Transportation Company, 24th Transportation Battalion, 7th Transportation Group, FT Eustis, VA; and 24 months as Commander, 832d Transportation Battalion (SDDC) at FT Eustis, VA (overseeing port operations at Jacksonville and Cape Canaveral, FL as well as Puerto Rico), which included a deployment to Puerto Rico in support of Hurricane Maria Recovery efforts in 2017.

COL Tomic is currently serving as a Faculty Instructor at the US Army War College at Carlisle Barracks, PA.

Traci J. Voelke is the surviving spouse of the late Major Paul C. Voelke, a member of the United States Military Academy Class of 1998. MAJ Voelke was killed in Mazar-i-Sharif, Afghanistan, during his fifth combat deployment in support of OperationEnduring Freedom. In the difficult months and years following Paul’s death, Traci and her family experienced firsthand the extraordinary compassion, generosity, and enduring support of The 98 Fund. That experience inspired her to join the Board of Directors to help ensure that every surviving family connected to the Class of 1998 receives the same unwavering care and sense of belonging.

Traci earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Maryland, College Park, with dual majors in Government and Politics and Socio-Cultural Anthropology. She began her legal education at Syracuse University College of Law and earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Georgia School of Law.

Following law school, Traci served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable G. Mallon Faircloth, United States Magistrate Judge for the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Georgia. Throughout her husband’s Army career, she continued her own commitment to public service, serving as an Assistant County Attorney in Jefferson County, New York, and later as an Assistant Attorney for the District of Columbia.

Following Paul’s death, Traci dedicated her legal career to serving Soldiers, military families, veterans, retirees, and Gold Star families. She joined the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate with the 3rd Infantry Division at Fort Stewart, Georgia, before assuming her current role as Chief of Client Services for the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. She oversees the Legal Assistance and Claims Divisions, leading a team that provides legal services in estate planning, family law, consumer protection,

military administrative law, claims, and compliance with the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act (SCRA) and the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA).

Traci is licensed to practice law in Virginia, New York, and the District of Columbia and maintains inactive status in Georgia.

She is honored to serve on the Board of the 98 Fund, where she is committed to preserving the lifelong bonds of the West Point Class of 1998 and ensuring that the families of its fallen graduates remain an enduring part of the class community. Traci lives in Northern Virginia. Her eldest son, Andrew, continues his father’s legacy as an Infantry Officer in the United States Army, and her younger son, Benjamin, attends Syracuse University.

Kaleigh Wotring lives in Eagle River, Alaska, and works for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. She serves as a board member and volunteer with The 98 Fund and its initiative, The Alaska Project. Kaleigh is deeply committed to serving and supporting veterans and survivor families.

She brings a genuine heart for service to the organization, and believes strongly that the stories and sacrifices of America’s heroes and their families should never be forgotten.
